Chinese Bailout PlansPDF Print E-mail

Dubbed as the ‘rising new economy’, not even China was spared from the economic downturn. I believe that most businesses in China have high dependency with the US economy and when consumption slows down globally, good in China has no where to go.

Chinese authorities have in fact committed $586 billion over the next two years to help stimulate the ailing economy. The money would be spent on infrastructure, tax rebates, and increased aid to rural economy.

During the third quarter this year, the Chinese economy decelerated to a low 9% growth compared to 11.9% growth in earlier months. If the economic downturn continues its trends, China’s GDP might fall to a low 5% to 6%.

On the other hand, if the stimulus plans succeed, it would definitely help revive ailing world economy.

Bankrupted Circuit City Planning for Black Friday Deals?PDF Print E-mail

Some trusted ‘informants’ have told us that Circuit City might be planning for Black Friday deals anytime soon. Although Circuit City has closed 155 of its retail stores nationwide, somehow the company isn’t showing signs that it has given up – just yet.

I just wonder if they were to re-open their stores for Black Friday deals. Possibly there would be $1.99 laptops which comes with a gazillion free RAM on board?

On the other hand, it’s a great way to clear your stock while packing your bags to declare bankruptcy in the near future – which saves the cost of dumping hardware which is possibly worth millions into the dumpster.

You probably have not heard of this ultimate entertainment device called the TouchDiva, but it’s really an all-in-one entertainment portal that every modern home should be equipped with one!

What makes the TouchDiva so special is that you can listen to all the music that you want, free of charge – however, there’s a small catch though and that you’ll need to pay a small subscription fees of $13 per month. The manufacturer of the TouchDiva has in fact made agreements with four major music companies - Warner, EMI, Sony-BMG and Universal. This would give you access to over 2 million songs.

On the other hand, it’s not cheap to own a TouchDive – it would cost you probably $1,100. Housed inside the sleek TouchDiva 15.4 touchscreen are two 125W ICEpower (Bang & Olufsen-manufactured) amps.

The TouchDiva is set to launch on December 1st 2008.
